Tork Winch

Company Overview

Tork Winch designs and manufactures wire-rope winches, blocks, sheaves, and drums engineered for integration into real-world mechanical systems. Equipment is developed to deliver reliable performance, serviceability, and controlled operation across a range of lifting and tensioning applications.

Specializations

The following represent Tork Winch’s primary product specializations. Beyond these categories, we support a broad range of wire-rope applications through built-to-specification configurations.

Gymnasium Equipment

Winches, safety components, and mounting accessories for basketball backstops, divider curtains, batting cages, wrestling mats, and other gymnasium equipment. The company’s early product line was developed around these gymnasium systems, with standardized mounting interfaces supporting integration across varied facility layouts.

Line Shaft Systems

Winches and safety cable spools that utilize couplings to house 2-3/8″ Schedule 80 pipe as the torque-transmitting shaft. This allows for interchangeable selection across the Tork line shaft range of winches and spools used in applications such as theatre rigging, retractable stage systems, and other overhead lifting installations.

Industrial Applications

Application-specific assemblies defined by load rating, duty cycle, drum geometry, and environmental requirements. Industrial configurations are engineered to suit the intended operating conditions across applications such as infrastructure, utilities, material handling, and other industrial environments.

Blocks, Sheaves & Drums

Wire-rope components for load redirection and mechanical advantage. Standard and custom configurations are available to meet load, layout, and environmental requirements, or to integrate into broader or existing mechanical systems.

Engineering

All products are designed in-house. Engineering defines load capacity, drum geometry, shaft sizing, mounting configuration, duty cycle, and related mechanical parameters according to the intended application. Drawings and specifications are produced internally for both standard catalogue products and engineered assemblies.

Manufacturing, Assembly and Testing

Core components are machined and assembled in-house under controlled production processes. Thousands of winches are assembled annually across gymnasium, rigging, and industrial applications. Each unit is load tested prior to shipment to verify mechanical function and rated performance.

Internal production supports dimensional consistency, standardized shaft and mounting formats where applicable, and consistent lead times. Standard catalogue items typically ship within 1–5 business days.
