Custom Sheaves

Tork Winch designs and manufactures custom sheaves to suit specific application requirements. In-house CNC machining from 1–48″ diameter ensures each sheave is engineered to match load, speed, and service conditions.

In addition to the options listed below, features such as grease fittings and keyway accommodations are commonly supported. Configurations beyond those shown can be reviewed based on operating conditions and performance criteria.

Recent Projects

From one-off reverse-engineered sheaves to recurring OEM production runs, Tork Winch delivers reliable, built-to-spec solutions.

Tork Winch

We reverse-engineered a sheave from a fractured component by capturing critical dimensions and groove geometry, then manufactured a replacement to the original specifications. This approach ensured dimensional compatibility, maintained operational performance, and minimized system downtime.

Tork Winch

25″ diameter triple-groove sheave, utilizing a deep web design with face bore holes to reduce mass, minimizing rotational inertia.

Tork Winch

7075 aluminum sheaves with dual sealed ball bearings manufactured for a military cable-handling application. The bearing arrangement supports higher loads while maintaining low rotational resistance.

Tork Winch

36″ diameter sheaves machined from Acetal (Delrin) for a coastal wire rope handling application. The moisture-resistant polymer reduces corrosion concerns while lowering rotational inertia and supporting extended wire rope life.

Tork Winch

Sheaves manufactured for a theatre application utilizing a 30:1 D:d ratio to support extended wire rope service life during repeated cycling. Finished in black powder coat for low visibility within performance environment.

Tork Winch

Large-diameter bull wheel manufactured for a wire rope drive system. The hub incorporates machined keyway accommodations to integrate with an existing drive shaft, while the rope contact surface was flame hardened to improve wear resistance.
