The Tork Winch Curtain Stop CS 1000 is an auto-locking overspeed safety device to “catch” a curtain shaft in the event of a system failure. It is recommended to be used in conjunction with any of our modular curtain, bat, mat or theatre winch systems. The Curtain Stop has unlimited travel and engages when the shaft exceeds 0.75 RPS, instantly locking the shaft and preventing the curtain from free-falling. You can count on this product to provide safety when a system failure occurs.
Each unit is designed to safely arrest the shaft and its load during a failure. The actual forces on the shaft and Curtain Stop device will be much higher than the rated curtain load when it is stopping motion. It is designed to absorb these forces.
